The poet Mary Oliver asks
“What do you plan to do with your wild and precious life?”
If you are choosing to spend part of it with Crescent Dragonwagon and
your fellow colleagues in fearlessness (actual or would-be), she (CD) is
delighted. Here are some materials and supplies that will be helpful at
the sessions: |
A 3-hole binder (to hold
class hand-outs, which will be pre-punched) |
A lined spiral-bound
notebook, preferably sized and 3-holed so you can clip it into your
binder |
Pens which feel good in
your hand (ink that feels “flowy” when you write with it is good). For
some writing, 4 or 5 distinct and contrasting colors of ink are
helpful. |
| Here are a few other points, some obvious, some less so:
Sessions begin and end on time |
Dress at Fearless sessions is informal and very comfortable;
you should be able to move around easily. |
Please please please --- no cell phones. If you must have them (such
as in case of family emergencies), turn them off when in class or
set them on vibrate only. |
Read the detailed break-out of the particular Fearless Writing™
workshop you are taking (such as
day by day for the upcoming
Fearless Italy workshop)
Longer workshops which include free time or
travel, for instance, might include the opportunity to swim or go to the
gym or visit a local attraction, and you'll want to bring appropriate
clothes and shoes. |
Personal thermostats vary greatly. CD wants everyone to be as
physically comfortable as possible, so, since one person's chilly is
another's boiling point, bring stuff to layer up or down. |
If you need reading glasses, don't forget 'em.
